When I do have guests, I'm always a bit nervous because I have to prepare the perfect meal, the Pizza Strudel in 2 ways are my insider tip! And I also tell you why.

Both ways taste great, are very easy to prepare and do not take ages in the oven. Ideal to sit back and prepare, for example, a dessert. Something like the delicious Brownies with coconut strawberry ice cream for example.

Ingredients
  • 2 x puff pastry
  • 1 x Buffalo mozzarella (diced)
  • 1 x small onion
  • 2-3 pieces Sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp pesto
  • Parmesan (grated)
For the pizza sauce
  • 150 g Pureed tomatoes
  • 1 x Garlic clove (pressed)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp pizza spice
  • Salt, pepper, italian herbs
Instructions
  1. First, prepare the pizza sauce and set aside. Then preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In the meantime, roll out the puff pastry and distribute the sauce evenly lengthwise.

  2. Then add the chopped mozzarella, onions and parmesan. Now spread pesto in small portions on one of the pizza strudel.

  3. Now carefully fold the dough on both sides. Now fold forward again lengthwise and "close" the front with a fork and cut in a bit at the top. So nothings come out while baking.

  4. Optionally you can add tomato sauce, pesto and parmesan to the strudel. In any case, I would still coat it with some olive oil. The pizza strudel needs circulating air in the oven for about 20-25 minutes at 190 degrees.
